Office of School Safety
The Paterson Public Schools, Office of School Safety consists of 40 uniformed and plain clothes officers who work in city schools, administration buildings, and in the patrol division.
School officers have many duties including but not limited to maintaining order in their assigned locations, student crisis intervention, patrol functions, monitoring visitor traffic, emergency medical care, escorts, executive protection, alarm response, and school incident investigations.
